BEAN BASICS

    Types of Beans

Beans Basic Cooking Instruction (and other facts)
(This web-site skips what I think is the most common way to cook beans: the crock pot.  I
usually soak my beans in water overnight (unless they are anasazi or lima because they don't
need presoaking.)  Then I add beans to the crock pot with lots of water (don't let run dry)
      and cook all day.)

    Giving Life to Old Beans
(Beans last practically forever but old beans are hard to soften.  Here is a trick to help.)

    Basic Crockpot Pinto Beans                                   Hummus
Refried Beans                                                       (Pretty strong.  Add less Tahini for a
        Mexican Filling Topping                                                   milder taste.)

RECIPES FOR DESSERT !?!

    Idaho Bean Fudge
(I tried this and it works, although it gets
soft when warm.  I couldn't taste the
beans but I also couldn't think about it
too much or I got grossed out.)
